With the rich diversity of students and exciting community life, many students prefer to live in the comfortable and secure accommodation on campus.

 

SINGLE ROOM - Halls of Residence A/B blocks

The Halls of Residence operate on a shared facilities basis. Each single room includes a telephone, internet connection, desk and chair, single bed, closet/wardrobe, bookshelves, bedside drawers, air-conditioning. Weekly cleaning and linen change. 125 sq ft

5-8 rooms form a wing - all male wings or all female wings. Wing residents share a large bathroom

TOWER ROOM - TWIN

The Towers (there are 2) are hotel style accommodation, with some rooms a bit larger for twin share. These rooms are air-conditioned and also have a private bathroom in each suite. Each room is fitted with a study desk, chair, bookshelves, a single bed, bedside table, closet/wardrobe, telephone and computer access to University Network. Linen is supplied and rooms are cleaned weekly.

 

 

 

 


 

 

TOWER ROOM - TWIN PREMIUM ROOM

 

Consists of 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, 385 sq. ft. Single beds, Telephone, Internet Access, Desk & Chair, Closet/wardrobe. Air conditioned, Weekly cleaning and linens.

 

 

 

BUNGALOWS

 

There are seven bungalows with four rooms in each. All rooms are air-conditioned with queen bed, bedside table, desk, chair, wardrobe/closet, chest of drawers, telephone – ISD & IDD, computer access to University network and private en-suite.

 

Each bungalow shares a common lounge/TV area including kitchen and dining area. Linen is provided and the bungalows are cleaned weekly.

 

 

 

 

 

Varsity Towers (Self Contained Apartments)

 

 

Varsity Towers is situated on the water within 10 minutes walking time to campus. Most apartments have views across the water to the Gold Coast, to the Hinterland or

views of the coast. This is the view from campus.

Students who prefer not to cook their own meals can purchase a meal package from the Brasserie.

 

Room picture

Rooms feature air-conditioning, key card facilities and security cameras. Varsity Towers units also feature on-site management, a visitor-waiting lounge, common room, user pay laundry, outdoor recreation area, user pay Internet, phone, voicemail, pool and BBQ facilities. All units are self contained and have a vacuum cleaner in the room. On-site parking for residents and visitors is provided.

 

Off Campus Accommodation

Assistance is available to help students source suitable off-campus accommodation close to the University. There are a variety of options including rented houses or apartments on a singular or shared basis. Rentals vary from AUD$150 to AUD$500 per week, depending on size, location and number of bedrooms. You can expect to pay between AUD$90 and AUD$250 per week for a room in a shared house or apartment. Campus Dining

 

Brasserie

This is the official resident student's eating facility. It is open all through the day for breakfast, lunch and dinner but closes for a specific period after each session. Its cuisine includes Asian, vegetarian and western menus.

 

Cafe Bond

The one stop shop for gourmet coffee, cakes, sandwiches, soup, soft drinks and ice creams. It is open from Monday through Friday 8.00am to 6.00 pm. Operating with limited indoor but ample outdoor seating overlooking the lake, it is a relaxing spot for a coffee and cake. Offering lunches and to go meals such as fish and chips, sushi, pita bread, and burgers. Service is quick, just right for a snack between classes.

 

Juicy Bits

This is one of the coffee shops on campus serving all day breakfast. It has open air seating and is open from 8.00 am – 9.00 pm Monday to Thursday and Fridays from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. They serve a variety of foods such as sandwiches, lasagna, frittatas, sushi, cakes, tarts, light meals and gourmet coffees.

 

Don’s Tavern

In order to get to Don’s, follow the path to the left of the arch when facing the lake. After passing Clancy’s and the University Bookshop, keep to the left and walk on. Don’s is next to Juicy bits opposite the Fitness Centre. Don’s tavern is the Beer Garden of Bond University. It is a place where students come to relax their mind and body from academic endeavors. Don’s Tavern is a popular meeting place for the students and has very few outsiders. To enter, each person needs to be able to provide:

  • 18 plus Card or Passport

  • Bond University ID card

Lakeside Grill

The Lakeside, as it is popularly called, is only available for functions. It caters for groups of up to 60 people and can be organized to provide most seminar or conference style breakfasts, lunches or dinners. Contact the Food and Beverage staff if you are interested in finding out what is possible.

 

The University Club.

Savour the fabulous campus views from the a la carte restaurant. Open to the public for dining, coffee and drinks Monday – Friday 11.30am-3pm. The University Club Restaurant is also available for Weddings, Social and Corporate function. Level 3 University Centre.
